Black and white photo of a woman sitting on a stool against a dark backdrop. She is wearing a striped shirt, jeans, and boots, with her left hand resting on her thigh. She has shoulder-length hair and is making a facial expression with one eyebrow raised and her mouth slightly open.

Sonya Sellers’ journey in photography began with a BFA in Photography from The University of Houston. After graduating, she honed her craft as a high-end retoucher for commercial photographers before stepping behind the lens to build her own clientele.

With a meticulous eye and a creative approach, Sonya brings artistry and intention to every shot. Her work spans a variety of subjects, each image reflecting her passion for storytelling through photography. Even beyond her professional work, she finds joy in capturing everyday moments, always seeing the world through her lens.

A native Texan, Sonya lives in Houston with her husband, their son, and their beloved dogs. After hours, Sonya loves gathering with family and friends over good food and wine, hunting for treasures at estate sales and thrift stores, or losing herself for hours in her garage, immersed in ceramics.
